Meet the Board
Dirk Correia.
Pronouns: He / Him
Dirk has been working in activism since he was 18 years old. He serves on the CITRF and TDOR board and spends his summers working at Camp Aranu’tiq for transgender youth. He loves connecting with his community and spends every day trying to both teach and learn. Dirk also loves video games, writing, and his two cats, Oatmeal, and Dr. Pinto Beans.
He has had an incredible time creating this website, working with this organization, & trying to build new skills. Dirk is an intersectional feminist, and wants to spend his life constantly learning more about the history of his community, & making the world a better place for those in the future.
Avery Condon.
Pronouns: They / Them
Avery is new to the CITRF board and in the TDOR committee. They work for a global health not-for-profit that is focused on providing a preferential option for the poor in health care. They earned their BS in Psychology from Bridgewater State College with a minor in Criminal Justice.
Avery is passionate about environmental and social justice, and strive to learn about the systemic issues of our time and how the interplay of sociopolitical factors inform policy and social outcomes. They firmly believe that now is a time for activism and that we urgently need to fight for a more just and equitable future for all.
In their free time they enjoy reading, music, podcasts, photography, and drinking way too much coffee.
Ann Burke.
Pronouns: She / Her
Ann, is the Cape Cod Advocate for the Violence Recovery Program which is part of Behavioral Health Department of Fenway Health. Ann is committed to working with the LGBTQIA community on the Cape and her focus is the Transgender community.
Some of the other area’s she is involved in include: facilitates the Cape Cod Transgender Social Support Group, is a member of the Advisory Board for DCF, TDOR committee member, Steering Committee member of Barnstable’s No Place for Hate, member of Barnstable and Chair of CHNA 27. Ann is a Registered Nurse and has her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology. She has published an article on Domestic Violence in the To Your Good Health Newspaper. In her spare time, she enjoys time with her family, especially her twin grandsons, walking the many nature trails on the Cape and delights in watching sunsets at the beach.

Lauren Farkas.
Pronouns: They / Them
Lauren-Tom has been around the sun nearly 60 times. They identify as transfeminine, non-binary and pansexual. Lauren’s dayjob is a science and technology nerd. On sunny days, they are likely to be found roaming their organic gardens and permaculture plot where they grow food and medicine. They live with their beloved on the colonized land that was once home to the Monomoyick people. They are deeply involved in local activism directed at raising awareness and creating transformation to address the climate change emergency and the social justice impacts following the current dominant culture’s unbalanced relationship with the Earth. Lauren takes deep refuge in their Buddhist faith and practice. Devoted dog-mom of Trixie. They’re vegan and love all music.
